Aroma: Dominated by ripe red and black berries: cherries, raspberries, blackberries, sometimes with hints of plums and wild berries. Additional notes: light hints of spice, black pepper, and, with short aging, soft vanilla-chocolate nuances, but without a heavy oak profile

Taste: Round and soft, with smooth, ripe tannins and balanced acidity, making the wine comfortable to drink on its own. The flavor profile echoes berries and plums, sometimes with hints of dried fruit and a light spicy note. The finish is medium-length, with a fruity accent and a hint of spice

Serving temperature: 16–18°C; Serving it slightly warmer will enhance the aroma, and before dinner, the wine can be briefly decanted into a pitcher to soften the tannins

Food pairing: Recommended with pork and beef dishes, meat stews, pasta with meat sauce, pizza, grilled sausages, and semi-hard cheeses
