Chateau Purcari is rightfully considered the leader among Moldovan wine producers. The number of awards from the most famous world competitions confirms this. The history of the winery goes back almost 2 centuries (it was founded in 1827) and Purcari wine was supplied to the Russian imperial court.
Negru di Purcari is the recognized king of red wines and this noble wine received its first international "gold" back in 1878 in Paris. This wine is also called the wine of the Queen of England, because even Queen Victoria, and now Queen Elizabeth II, regularly ordered this wine.
The blend includes hand-picked grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Saperavi and the local Rara Neagra, in the aroma of ripe fruits - plums, figs and tones of spices. The wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels. It has a high storage potential and will be an excellent decoration for any wine cellar.
The wine goes well with refined cheeses, meat and game dishes. We recommend decanting before use.
